Tensions mount for beleaguered Prime Minister Churchill as D-Day nears in June 1944. Churchill is reluctant to embark on the large scale campaign that the entire war effort hinges on. Clashing with political opponents, unwavering support from his devoted wife Clementine inspires him to achieve greatness.
