Silchester is now one of the best known towns in Roman Britain and the Roman world more widely. Michael Fulford, who has been Professor of Archaeology at Reading University since 1988, has led work at Silchester throughout the long periods of excavation there over many years. He has also published an acclaimed book on the discoveries made and we are fortunate to have him to share his experiences with us. We hope many will join us for his talk.
