Goring Repair Cafe is a free community service organised by the Goring Gap Environmental Organisation (GGEO). https://www.goringrepaircafe.info/
The facility is to reduce waste and unnecessary consumption by providing opportunities for anyone to bring one or two items in (see list of example items commonly brought in) to get them looked at and hopefully repaired. The events are on the first Saturday of even months between 11am - 1.30pm when there should be around 8 - 12 experienced volunteer Repairers with the tools and equipment needed to try to find the fault and fix it. However, there are no guarantees that we will be able to repair everything, as sometimes spare parts are needed which are not always available at the time. Voluntary donations are welcome if you would like to support the service to help offset the costs of the hall hire and other expenses. Even if you don't have anything broken at the time, you can always pop into Café Bellême for refreshments and look at what we do. A website is under construction, but in the meantime for further information please call / email Ron Bridle on 07789 871620 / ronbridle@btinternet.com.
