7th May -A talk on 'Ponds and Wildlife in Your Garden' by Dr Steven Head.
After working as an academic ecologist and zoologist, Steven now volunteers nearly full time to run the Wildlife Gardening Forum, promoting the importance of the garden environment to both biodiversity and people.

4th June - A talk about 'The Scented Garden' by Anthony Powell.
Why we should have scent in the garden, recommendations for scented plants in different sized gardens and how we can achieve it.

July 3rd - We have a talk by Austin Crabbe from Englefield Garden Centre.
The garden centre is part of The Affinity Trust, a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities. Austin will talk about growing the best plants and vegetables with the help of adults with learning disabilities.
His talk is entitled ‘Gardening With The Disabled’
Competition - ‘Salad for One’. Grow a mixed salad in a 5L pot.
July 30th - (members only) A visit to the beautiful Worcester College Gardens in Oxford.

3rd September - A talk by Rob Jones, head gardener at Waterperry Gardens near Oxford about ‘The Making of a Herbaceous Border'
The beautiful herbaceous borders at Waterperry are well known and this is the story of a year in the life of a herbaceous border. We look into the design and husbandry whilst watching the border change throughout the year.
Competition - ‘What a Shane’. Bring your best Shane tomato from the tomato plants given out to members in April/May.
1st October - Katherine Woods ‘The Blitz as a Catalyst for Greening London’.
Katherine is a member of the Garden media Guild and a lecturer in gardening and garden history.
She will tell us how the devastation of the London bombing created opportunities for new parks and gardens - including some surprising stories of what once lay beneath some of London's best-loved parks’

November 5th Derry Watkins - ‘Late Summer Colour. The Big the Bold and the Beautiful’ Derry, who established her Special Plants Nursery and Garden near Chippenham, will talk to us about late summer colour in the garden - especially Shrubs and Hebes.
Competition - ‘Fireworks!’ - Your interpretation.

4th February - Helena Dove - A Year In The Kitchen Garden
Helena is a kitchen gardener working in London, and focuses on experimenting with new crops and techniques, especially in the area of climate change. Trained in an historic setting, she has a strong passion for heritage vegetables and also specialises in trained fruit and orchard management.
Competition - ‘A Sheltered Life’ - bring a houseplant.
4th March - Kerry Lloyd Dawson - Bulbs in the Border - especially Summer Bulbs
Kerry is a passionate gardener, plantaholic and garden writer. She will give us recommendations for how to add an extra layer of planting with bulbs and corms that remain in the border year-after-year. Especially summer bulbs.
Competition - ‘A Contained Garden’ - your choice of spring bulbs grown in a 5L pot.
