A popular speaker in Goring Hall, Tim Healey returns with his band to present a vibrant portrait of Yuletide as it was celebrated in a bygone era. The 5-piece appears in period costume with a wealth of historic instruments such as lute, fiddle, hurdy gurdy, hammered dulcimer and nyckelharpa. The seasonal songs and tunes are enlivened by many droll readings from diarists and poets of the day. 'Terrific entertainment!' Bran Kay, BBC Radio 3
